Results - 2011 Islesboro Photo Contest

Thank you to all photographers who submitted entries for our second photo contest! We received 35 entries offering an wonderful variety of perspectives on Islesboro. All photos were judged on August 21 by a panel of five volunteer judges. Here are the results:

Overall contest winner: Kylie Teller, for her photo of tidepooling at sunrise

Preserves category winner: Gillian Hannum, for her photo of Hutchins Island

Children's category winner: Luke Durkee (age 4) for his photo 'At the Beach'

The judges also selected a small number of outstanding photos for Honorable Mention awards in each category. Photographers winning honorable mentions for their work include David Brock, Tim Fallon, Maria Forney, and Fred Shirley.
